As the new season approaches many people are anxious to know how Kimi Raikkonen will get on, after having two years away from the sport.
Very fittingly, today’s post is about Kimi Raikkonen and why Antonia Grzelak loves him.
Call it destiny – I was born right into Michael Schumacher’s great years. And I am German, so you can imagine the unbelievable hype around his personality Read the rest of this entry →

Kimi testing the Lotus E20 in Jerez during the first day of testing.
I’ve not managed to catch any information about testing today as I’ve joined the relm of the working, don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining.
I do feel though that it would be wrong of me to just regurgitate a detailed rundown of what happened today, since I wouldn’t have a clue if it really happened or not.
Instead, I’m going to post the times and talk about them a little. Feel free to join in.

February 5, 2012 in F1, Favourite Driver Sunday, Ferrari, Formula 1, Mercedes, Michael Schumacher
This Sunday’s favourite driver post comes from eenfish about why he loves Michael Schumacher. Go on, give it a read.
Growing up and playing in the sandpit at home with my brother, every car with a #1 on the front or the side was Schumacher. There was “blue Schumacher” and “Ferrari Schumacher”, so I think I can pin my earliest Formula One memories to circa 1996. My first Grand Prix I remember watching was the 1998 Australian Grand Prix when I was eight, because I got to watch it live. But I only remember two thinks vividly: the awkward and Austria 02 foreshadow that was the McLaren drivers swapping of positions, and Michael Schumacher throwing his steering wheel after his engine gave way. Snow fell heavily in Maranello yesterday and continued to do so today.

I was told today to try out a light-hearted funny post, which isn’t something I’ve tried out on this blog yet. It’s been received positively on Tumblr though, so here we go.
How’s your year been so far?
Over the past few weeks I’ve been very busy. A couple of weeks ago it was Ferrari’s annual Wrooom event in Madonna di Campiglio. On the last day I had an accident with the hair drier in the hotel which resulted in me looking like Whitney Houston, it embarrassed Felipe a lot. Read the rest of this entry →

This time last week Lotus were probably giving themselves a large pat on the back for pioneering the reactive ride height system, which Ferrari also planned to have on their car. Today though, they’re probably feeling very different. Read the rest of this entry →

January 16, 2012 in Autosport International, Ayrton Senna, F1, Ferrari, FIA, Formula 1, McLaren, Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso
Over the past few days I’ve seen so many photos and heard so much about Autosport International that it was almost too much to bear, finally though Sunday arrived and it was time to go and see what all the hype was about.
As soon as I arrived at Autosport International I headed over to the F1 Racing stage to see when drivers would be on and when they would be signing. Thankfully, luck was on my side and when I got there Paul di Resta and David Coulthard were on stage and were just about to start signing. Read the rest of this entry →
