Sauber have confirmed this morning that Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg will replace Sergio Perez at Sauber.
“We’ve been observing Nico for some time now and his performances have been very persuasive” said Sauber Team Principal Monisha Kaltenborn in a press release on the teams website, and said his pole position in Brazil in 2011 was an ‘obvious highlight’.
Force India’s aim at the beginning of the year was to beat Sauber in the Constructors Championship. However, with just three races to go and 23 points to make up, Force India are going to have to do something pretty special to beat Sauber. So this looks like a great move for Hulkenberg, who must be pretty excited especially after seeing Perez move to McLaren after only two years at Sauber. I’ve not managed to catch any information about testing today as I’ve joined the relm of the working, don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining.
I do feel though that it would be wrong of me to just regurgitate a detailed rundown of what happened today, since I wouldn’t have a clue if it really happened or not.

With a few weeks to go before the first car is unveiled, I’ve begun to get quite excited.
Personally, I think I want to see the new Force India most. Force India were doing fantastically towards the end of the season and I can’t wait to see what they’ll do this year.
